A different morality

This story has been doing the rounds for a while, and a number of (supposedly) left wing MPs have put their name to a motion supporting it already, but this line from the committee:

The House of Commons culture committee said people had a "moral right" to keep control of their creations while alive.

seems like a peculiar escalation, bringing the amount of years a copyright should be in force into the realm of the moral.
