“I’m definitely contemplating living outside the UK,” he said after qualifying on the front row for today’s race. “I’ve always dreamed of living in London; I’d still do anything to own my own apartment. I’ve always wanted to do it, but it’s becoming more and more difficult. Every time I go to London, cameras appear from God knows where.
And yet, if you remember, I posted on this at the time, he also had a little problem with tax:
Already he admits that he will have to consider whether a move abroad might be necessary to preserve his sanity and finances. “At the moment I like living in the UK as I’m close to my family and friends, and I’m young, so London is the best place to be,” he said. “But I have no idea what it’s going to be like over the next two years. If there is an escalation of interest I would have to reconsider – and also of course the tax situation can be a problem, not now but in the future.”So which is it?
a) to avoid cameras?
b) to avoid tax?
I wonder...
